Machol Shalem Dance House (MASH),  established in 2002, is a supportive platform for independent dance composers in Jerusalem, supporting and encouraging original work. The center was established with the aim of developing cultural activity in the field of contemporary, independent dance in Jerusalem and the capital as a professional international cultural space. The projects serve as a means of mediation between populations in the city and a source of social contribution.

The center serves more than thirty independent Jerusalem artists, dance groups led by religious and ultra-Orthodox artists, and thousands of culture-lovers throughout the city.

In addition to producing performances, MASH initiates dance artist meetings, dance events in the public space, workshops, the International Dance Week platform that includes the only international choreography competition in the country, an international dance festival for children and youth, and co-productions and collaborations with fellow artists around the world.

The center offers a curriculum for graduates of high schools of the arts in collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality, runs children's shows, community and social projects, and hosts artists, creators and directors of dance houses from Israel and the world.

MASH is one of the six dance centers officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture in Israel and the only one in Jerusalem.
The center's activities are supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Jerusalem Municipality, the Jerusalem Foundation, Mifaal Hapais, the Beracha Foundation and private donors.
