Choreographer, Performer, and Project Manager

Multidisciplinary artist Neta Pulvermacher was born and raised in Kibbutz Lahav HaBashan. She eturned to Israel in 2013 after 31 years of living and creating work for her company, The Neta Dance Company, in New York. She has created over 95 dance works that have been performed throughout the United States and worldwide. She is a graduate of Juilliard, holds an MA from Columbia University/New York, and an MFA from Hollins University. Neta served as Dean of the Dance Faculty at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and currently serves as Professor of Choreography. Her works have earned her numerous awards, including a recognition award for her international dance work from the White House, and a special award from Bessie Schonberg. Her work is supported by the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport and numerous foundations. In Israel, she pioneered the project Body Dance Place - Performance Meets City, a series of site-specific and city-specific, imersive performances. The project was highly successful and was invited to Paris in 2019. The third edition of this project, "Public Parking", premiered at the Israel Festival 2021. In July 2023, her acclaimed work "The Archive" premiered in its chamber version at the Leo Baeck Institute in Jerusalem, and has now been transformed into a solo commissioned and premiered at Villa 102 - KFW Stiftung in Frankfurt in March 2024. The current version of "The Archive" is performing in Israel and has been invited to perform in New York and Florida in February 2025.
